Cloud9 is the newest application in sketch modelling software designed for easy and fluid creation and
visualisation in 3D, currently in use but being continuously updated with new features and benefits.
Cloud9 is based upon previous applications DrawnReality and CRE8 and has been built from the feedback provided
from their users. Anarkik3D designed the application to be used the Falcon Haptic device and the concept
has developed from 4 years of research into creativity and haptics known as the Tacitus Project.
Cloud9 excels where the former applications may not have, as it was designed based on both positive and negative
feedback in order to create a more powerful haptic based application.
Key features:
- Ability to ‘touch’ and feel the 3 dimensional qualities of a virtual object
- Freedom of movement in all directions allowing for flexibility to construct, interact and manipulate objects within a 3D space
- Natural, fluid movement when working using Cloud9
- Real time feel, both in and outside objects
- Ability to create organic shapes and designs
- Change the hardness/softness of objects as required
- Simple graphical based interface
The AnarkikAngels project is designed to continuously further develop Cloud9 based upon the requirements of its creative community of stakeholders.
Through their feedback many more functions and features will be added.
We see this as a very exciting venture to achieve an application that will interest and benefit
not only professional designers and artists, but anyone with a creative personality.
